
Dave Stadler
A broad experience in leadership, investment banking and private equity investment, Dave has a wide range of business skills and value to enhance businesses. He has more than 35 years' investment banking experience.
Dave is a registered Senior Business Rescue Practitioner, currently licenced with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (“CIPC”).
Dave served on the boards of directors, both as chairman and non-executive director of numerous companies, and was elected as chairman of The Southern African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (“SAVCA”), the industry body and public advocate for venture capital and private equity asset classes in Southern Africa. Dave served as a member of the Africa Council of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (“EMPEA”) (now the Global Private Capital Association), based in Washington, USA.
He established Paean Advisors, as a corporate advisory and management consulting firm, and Paean Private Equity to invest in lower to middle market opportunities in Southern Africa.
Dave was formerly head of Nedbank Private Equity, having previously formed and been head of BoE NatWest Equity Partners. With a grounding in private equity from NatWest Equity Partners in London, Dave led many of Nedbank's and BoE NatWest's investments and multiple transactions in investment banking at BoE Merchant Bank, Ridge Corporate Finance, Bank Indosuez and Hill Samuel Merchant Bank.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours degree from the University of Natal, a Master's degree of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business, he is a Chartered Accountant of South Africa, a Chartered Management Accountant of England and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Dave has successfully completed an Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School, Harvard University, USA, an Advanced Company Law Programme at the Wits School of Law, University of Witwatersrand, and the Certified Rescue Analyst Programme at the University of Pretoria.
